As Christmas fades from our memory for another year, this is a shot of Sydney's Town Hall annual Christmas illumination. Colourful lighting, carefully aligned with the shape of this classical sandstone building makes for a striking night image.
Wow, that is some Christmas lighting display. I always wondered what Christmas would feel like in a warm climate - so totally foreign to my way of thinking. The photo of Sydney all lit up for Christmas is a beautiful one.
Wow, fairtytale-like picture! You know, I was there 2 years ago, exactly at Christmas time, it was awesome, different light arrangement, but same effect:D
@club villimar: They have been doing the lighting for several years now.
@donna: All the Christmas symbolism continues to be cold climate - santa in a big red suit, reindeers, snow on trees and windows, sleighs and chimneys...
@texas city hotels: Sydney does a superb job of using its buildings as lighting backdrops.
@BTD: Sydney does a great job of lighting its buildings for special occasions. The Christmas efforts on St Mary's Cathedral are superb like this one shows.
Awesome capture..............
