Hitching a ride on a truck through central Africa, you witness some superb natural scenery but possibly have to experience what must be the worst roads in the world. With potholes large enough to swallow a bull elephant, the trucks support each other with tows to ensure passage through these treacherous roads.
Sadly, this photo is taken not a long way from Goma, in east Congo, which has made the news for all the wrong reasons. Civil war again is killing and starving people in this most majestic mountainous area.
Your body gets battered and bruised but the chance to experience Africa's greatest travel wonders makes it all worth while, even if it takes a fair few days to cover only a short distance.

It is hard to live in country which the road are not concrete and yes it take for a while to arrive in your destination. Anyway, nice post! If you are interested to exchange links with my Travel Blog let me know. Take care and have a great weekend!
That's amazing. I saw some pretty wild roads in Zambia on the way through the wilderness to the Zambezi River where my uncle has a fishing lodge, but I was there in the dry season so we didn't get stuck.
@gen: Thank you
@suzanne: Zambia had bad roads when I was there too. It seems to be a curse of Africa.
Africa is a very nice place to visit. Also lots of comedies (photos) coming over African styles. Nice post.

@admin: Thank you.
Sounds like quite an experience. Unfortunately one that I couldn't manage with my back problems. *sigh*
